Thursday and Friday phonics use the supplied Extra Support lessons; their optional activities remain labeled. The 8.pdf syllable/vocabulary routines are included in the weekly support below.
Weekly syllable and vocabulary support Practice pro (protection), ment (treatment), ac (actionable), or (orderly), ad (admittance), tions (nations), ar (arguments), ble (fable), ers (builders), der (wonderful). Mark the chunk in each word and collect new examples during reading.
At the end of the week, choose four collected words. Record each word’s definition, an example sentence, and a related word. Optional: use a Frayer model, a semantic map, or synonyms and antonyms. Source: uploaded 8.pdf; distributed across the week, not an additional daily minilesson.
